Assistantships

  • In order to be considered for graduate assistantship, you need to visit Graduate Assistantship Application site and apply online. You can also contact faculty members to inquire about assistantship opportunities.
  • If you need financial assistance with tuition, you may want to fill out the Tuition Waiver Application form and submit it to the Graduate Program Coordinator.
  • Illinois State Foundation Fellowship: The Illinois State University Foundation Fellowship is an award of three thousand dollars ($3,000) to students who have demonstrated a potential for academic excellence at the graduate level. Applications will be accepted from new graduate students applying for or admitted to a degree program in the Graduate School.

  • E-recruiting Network for our students - A web-based recruiting service through Illinois State University that provides one central location for departments/schools/appointing units to connect with current or prospective Illinois State students searching for graduate assistantships. To obtain a Username and Password to view posting and/or apply for a graduate assistantship on the web site, prospective students contact Placement Services by email or at (309) 438-2200; current students use their Illinois State Username and Password.
