Agriscience

Students selecting the AgriScience Sequence may elect a Horticulture, Animal Science, or Agronomy concentration. The academic content of this sequence includes biological science, chemistry, and agricultural science subjects.

Curriculum Requirements

All students complete a minimum of 36 semester hours. 

  • Thesis Option:
    Students selecting this option will complete the degree
    core requirements of 9 hours; 12 hours of core requirements; 6 hours of Master’s Thesis (AGR 499) and 10 hours of electives.
  • Non-thesis Option:
    This option requires a synthesizing experience consisting of three hours of Independent Study (AGR 400) under the direction of a major adviser with the approval of an advisory committee. Students selecting this option will also complete the degree core requirements 9 hours; 12 hours of sequence requirements; and 13 semester hours of electives. Students selecting this option must pass a comprehensive written/oral examination.
