Recent Selected Awards and Honors:  2011 - Elected President of the American Association of State Colleges of Agriculture and Renewable Resources (AASCARR); 2008-Present -- Appointed to USDA – CSREES Employment Opportunities Working Group Panel of Experts; 2009 -- Awarded membership in ISU’s Million Dollar Club; 2006 to Present -- Elected to Board of Directors of American Association of State Colleges of Agriculture and Renewable Resources; 2006 to Present – Appointed to the Advisory Council of the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, Chicago, Illinois; 2003-2005 - Commission Member for National Food and Agribusiness Management Education Commission (NFAMEC) created by USDA. to provide input to the future of food and agribusiness management education in the United States.

Recent Selected Research Projects and Scholarship:  Current projects cover (1) Economic Impact of ban on fall application of nitrogen in Illinois, (2) Development of grocery and agribusiness Web-based business simulations for teaching, (3) Development of cooperative business training for high school age and above.  Widely published on topics related to agribusiness management and the economic feasibility of agriculture and food enterprises.
